Dream Girl is the narrative of a man taking on the appearance of a lady to gain his living. Karamvir otherwise known as Karm (Ayushmann Khurrana) is a jobless youth in Mathura who is urgently searching for work. His dad Jagjeet (Annu Kapoor) runs a shop that sells burial service things and has taken an immense credit. The recuperation specialists have been hassling him over unpaid contribution. Karm is known locally for assuming female jobs in plays and Jagjeet loathes this side of Karm.
