The rose turned its head and commented, “It appears that I am the most wonderful plant in this backwoods.” A sunflower raised its yellow head and asked, “Why do you say that? In this timberland there are numerous delightful plants. You are only one of them.” The red rose answered, “I see everybody taking a gander at me and respecting me.” Then the rose took a gander at a desert flora and said, “Take a gander at that revolting plant brimming with thistles!” The pine tree said, “Red rose, what sort of talk is this? Who can say what magnificence is? You have thistles as well.”

The pleased red rose took a gander at the pine and said, “I thought you had great taste! You don’t realize what magnificence is by any means. You can not come close my thistles to that of the desert flora.”

“What a glad bloom”, thought the trees.

The rose attempted to move its roots far from the prickly plant, yet it couldn’t move. As the days passed, the red rose would take a gander at the prickly plant and say offending things, similar to: This plant is futile? That I am so sad to be his neighbor.

The cactus never got surprise and he even attempted to prompt the rose, saying, “God did not make any type of existence without a reason.”

Spring passed, and the climate got to be warm. Life got to be troublesome in the backwoods, as the plants and creatures required water and no downpour fell. The red rose started to shrink. The pine tree clarified that the fledglings got water from the prickly plant. “Does it not hurt when they make gaps?” asked the rose.

“Yes, yet the desert plant does not care to see any winged creatures endure,” answered the pine.

The rose opened its eyes in awe and said, “The desert plant has water?”

“Yes you can likewise drink from it. The sparrow can convey water to you in the event that you approach the desert plant for help.”

The red rose felt excessively embarrassed about its past words and conduct to request water from the desert plant, however then it at last did approach the cactus for help. The desert flora merciful concurred and the winged animals filled their mouths with water and watered the rose’s roots.
