Veere Di Wedding starts with four adolescent young ladies popping the bubbly and enjoying some locker room talks post wrapping up their last, most decisive tests. After 10 years, we get a sneak-look into their adulthood. Kalindi (Kareena Kapoor Khan) is a dedication phobe; point the finger at it on a broken home, Avni (Sonam Kapoor) is a separation legal counselor whose mother continues pestering her to get hitched. Sakshi (Swara Bhaskar), a stinky rich young lady whose marriage is in shambles and Meera (Shikha Talsania) whose ‘Bade Papa’ severes ties with her after she gets hitched to firang.
Things take a radical turn when Kalindi’s sweetheart Rishabh (Sumeet Vyas) goes down on his knees and proposes marriage to her. Kalindi at first falters however later gives in and consents to get hitched. From Bondi in Australia, she ends up vanishing underneath heaps of Banarasi sarees and West Delhi ‘Malhotra’ gems and attempting to get into her ‘pixie princess’ outfit for her roka. Gratefully, she has besties otherwise known as ‘Veeres’ close by. Anyway their joy is shortlived when a ‘siyappa’ makes Kalindi cancel her marriage.
Shashanka Ghosh should be praised for strewning together a story that Bollywood merited since quite a while. What makes the ladies in this film exceptional ain’t the sex-talk and significant swearing. Rather it’s the scars of their slip-ups that they gladly display like symbols of respect. The general public won’t name them ‘devout’ however that doesn’t prevent them from following their hearts with regards to issues of adoration and desire. On the flipside, somewhat more portrayal in the four hero’s part would have made it more fun. The hilarous minutes are scattered all through abandoning you wanting. Further, the explicit endeavors at connecting item arrangements to the film seems to be unexpectedly hilarous.
Kareena Kapoor Khan stands out and is presented with a meatier part than the rest. Sonam Kapoor gets her snapshots of sparkle regardless of whether they are few. The scene where Swara Bhaskar uncovers her ‘cozy apna haath jagan naath’ minute to her companion and later to her family is an aggregate executioner. Shikha Talsania is all hearts and packs a punch.
Veere Di Wedding is simple on eyes. From the circumstances where the champion was constantly expected to be Ms Two Goody-Shoes who went without getting between the sheets previously marriage to ladies presently being demonstrated hindered with regards to their life, sexuality and wants, Bollywood has made considerable progress.
